Dear Parents, For the next week in preparation for Grandparents Day, we will be talking about grandparents at school. To read more about Grandparents Day, visit the National Grandparents Day web site at www.grandparents-day.com. To help prompt your child to participate by talking about his or her grandparents (or other older friends of his or her choice), we’d like to borrow a photograph of them. Please label the photograph so that we will know to whom to return it. Please send a photo of one or more grandparents or older friends by ___________________________. In addition, your child will have an opportunity to send a message to one or more of his/her grandparents (or other older friends.) S/he will send a card and a request that the grandparent reciprocate by sending a note to the child. If you would like your child to participate, please address one or more envelopes to the appropriate grandparents, stamp the envelopes, and return them to school. We will make each greeting card at school and include a note asking the grandparent to mail a note back to the child at school.
